This bright, colorful wildflower wedding at River Bottoms Ranch was an absolute joy to design. Planned by Hailey Bonny and held in May, the day featured locally grown Utah blooms, a lush ground meadow ceremony installation, and vibrant floral details repurposed throughout the celebration. From smilax-covered chandeliers to a staircase-framed sweetheart table, every floral element was thoughtfully designed to feel organic, joyful, and full of movement.

A Joyful Spring Wedding at River Bottoms Ranch

It was truly an honor to create the florals for this unforgettable spring wedding at River Bottoms Ranch. Set against the lush greenery and mountain views, this May celebration embraced color, seasonality, and the natural beauty of Utah-grown flowers.

With thoughtful planning by Hailey Bonny, the design vision focused on a bright, wildflower-inspired aesthetic that felt effortless yet intentional — the kind of wedding that feels alive the moment you walk in.

Wildflower Ground Meadow Ceremony & Aisle Starters

For the ring ceremony, we created a lush ground meadow installation, overflowing with colorful, locally grown blooms. Soft pastels mixed with vibrant tones created a natural, meadow-like feel that framed the bride and groom without blocking the stunning mountain views.

We paired the meadow with aisle starters, framing the ceremony entrance and adding floral interest without overpowering the space. The result was organic, romantic, and perfectly suited for a spring wedding.

Repurposed Florals for a Staircase Sweetheart Table

One of our favorite design moments from the day was the sweetheart table positioned in front of the grand staircase. After the ceremony, we thoughtfully repurposed the ground meadow and aisle pieces to surround the staircase and frame the sweetheart table.

This approach not only maximized floral impact, but also created a seamless visual transition from ceremony to reception — something we always love designing for our couples. It also maximized the budget!

Smilax Greenery on Chandeliers & Staircase

To bring in softness and movement overhead, we installed lush smilax greenery on the chandeliers in the main reception space. The greenery added an airy, garden-inspired feel and complemented the bright floral palette beautifully.

The staircase was also wrapped in smilax, creating a cohesive look that tied the ceremony florals, sweetheart table, and reception design together.

Colorful Reception Tables & Candlelight

The reception featured farmhouse tables styled with colorful candles in gold holders and glass bud vases filled with bright, playful blooms. Each table felt collected and joyful, with pops of color that reflected the wildflower theme without feeling overly styled. We were obsessed with these dreamy blue floral print runners on the

We also designed small floral centerpieces for the cocktail tables outside, giving guests something beautiful to enjoy from the moment they arrived at the reception.

Locally Grown Utah Wedding Flowers

Nearly all of the florals for this wedding were locally grown in Utah, which made the designs feel especially meaningful and seasonally inspired. May is such a beautiful time for local blooms, and it was a joy to highlight what our local growers do best.

A Celebration Full of Color & Heart

This wedding was full of joy, intention, and thoughtful design — and we were truly honored to be part of it. Creating florals that could evolve throughout the day while staying true to the couple’s vision is always our goal, and this celebration was a perfect example of that. We love you J + K!
